Q: Hello David:

Just wanted to know "How are YOU doing", you probably have been far too busy to take a breather with the concert tour and all. I hope you and the guys are taking care of yourselves. All of you are in my thoughts everyday, and I will keep checking in on the web site. Take Care. See you at the concert August 3rd. Looking forward to it, I know it will be great!

Love from Bolton Landing, NY,

Bonnie

A: Bonnie

Thanks for checking in! Europe is great, but I'm really looking forward to the summer stadium tour at home! Please do keep checking in on the site, we'll be updating regularly and I'm working on sending video clips from the road, too.

See you on tour...

Q: Hi David:

I just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed hearing your solo in NJ back in February. It was a very nice surprise. I honestly can't remember if you did it in CT, that night went by soo fast. No I wasn't drunk, I know that's what you were thinkin'! ; ) We just had an amazing time. I can't wait for Hartford and the other two NJ shows! All within a week of each other! Is there any chance you'll be doing another solo project? I leave a copy of Lunar Eclipse in my car at all times.

Holly F

A: Hi Holly

My next solo projects have wound up being musical theatre pieces! I've written MEMPHIS and the musical version of SWEET VALLEY HIGH. Both are moving along really well.

For updates, check in on DavidBryan.com, we'll keep you posted.

Thanks for writing.

Q: Hi Mr. Bryan:

My name is George and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. I'm in a tribute band called Bad Medicine (guess who we cover).

My keyboardist is having trouble replicating a sound in the song "Everyday," it's the one that sounds like a bouncing ball at the start of the song, but is more noticeable when Jon sings the "change, everybody's feeling strange" part. Anything u could do would be great. David u r an inspiration 2 everybody who has ever had the pleasure of listening 2 u play the piano or hear u sing. My prayers to your family at the passing of your father Eddie Rashbaum, may he rest in peace. His voice will live forever in your music and in your heart. Thank u David.

George
Melbourne, Australia

A: Thanx for your thoughts and prayers for my Dad. The keyboard sound is a composite of a bunch of sounds I programmed. Just have fun trying to cop it!!!

Q: Hey David:

I'm so glad I stopped by your website-I just ordered your "Lunar Eclipse"- was looking for something new and different to absorb. I hope piano playing is not a dying art- I just got turned on to the keys watching Russ Irwin in concert with Aerosmith on their last tour. You listen to music with a new pair of ears, picking out the piano rather than the guitar or drums. Who was your influence?

A: Thanx. There are too many keyboardists to list them all. Here are a few: my piano teacher-Mr. Hack, Roy Bitten, Danny Federici, Billy Joel, Elton John, Dr. John, Jon Lord, John Paul Jones and more...

Q: Hi Dave:

My name's Daniel. I'm a 19-year old guitarist and student from Melbourne, Australia studying at university who is also a big fan of Bon Jovi, as well as your extraordinary keyboard skills. I myself am thinking about putting out a record with my band "Atomica", as I have the desire and ambition to bring out my own music to people. Knowing that you have great experience in the music industry, as well as being a very intelligent person (knowingly from the messages in your music) what form of advice (touring, record making, etc.) could you possibly extend to me in starting out in the music industry, from your perspective? By the way, your website is really great, and keep the "bryan" and "jovi" records coming...thank you.

Daniel
Melbourne, Australia

A: Write great songs, then play out as much as you can to build up a fan base. Good luck!

A: Hi Angelina:

Thanks for taking the time to write. I know it sounds crazy, but I'll tell you what my family and friends do to get the up to the minute tour schedules, check www.BonJovi.com. They are great at keeping all of us informed! And, check back at my site, we're working on new content all the time!

See you on the road...

Q: Dear Mr Bryan:

I have been a massive fan of yours and Bon Jovi for years. You are one of the people that inspired me to take up the keyboard, although I'm no-where near as great as you!

I would just like to know if you had any part in writing Dry County. I have a CD of you playing live at Wembley in 95 and it's one of my all time favourates (mainly because you do a great solo!). Also, who inspired you to play the keyboard?

I can't wait to see you at Hyde Park in London in June!

Thank you for your time,
Nicola
Great Britain

A: Hi Nicola:

Thanks for writing. My Dad, Eddie Rashbaum, who we lost this February, was a trumpet player. He encouraged me to start piano lessons at 7 with Emory Hack. That's one of the major reasons that I became the National Spokeperson for VH1's Save The Music, to be able to go into schools and work with kids in their music programs. We created a memorial fund for my father that benefits Save The Music, to keep his dreams alive and to celebrate the gift of music he gave me when I was young.

If you think I'm singing to you at the London show, you're right!

Q: Please Help:

I have a question for you: I noticed you had something linked to the rear part of one of your shoes? Could you explain this technical thing?

JS, United States

A: This is for my ear monitors.

Q: Hi David:

When filming music videos do you really play (and sing), or do you just mime? In so many video clips on TV you can clearly see that synths and guitars aren't even plugged in and it drives me mad ;)

Gwydion, Australia

A: I really sing and play, but the mic and the synths aren't plugged in. It is the only way to make a video to the CD we already recorded.

Q: David:

Dave, thanks for the smiles throughout the whole concert. I was dancing and singing my ass off, ya know, too old to scream and faint ;)

Keep it up, man, you got a lot to give. Hope I'll get to meet you personally one day.

Take care,
Petra
Vienna, Austria

A: I thought that was you. Thanks for the energy!

Q: Hey David:

I just wanted to say that I am one of your biggest fans. I got the chance to meet you last October at 92 Pro FM studio in Providence, Rhode Island. Well, I must say it made my day when I got to the studio and found out that not only Jon and Richie were there, but you and Tico. You were so cool to talk to, very down to earth and genuine. You even gave me your newspaper you were reading with some pictures you drew on it!

Well just wanted to let you know that your music continues to inspire me everyday. Not only have I been a fan of Bon Jovi for sixteen years, I'm a huge fan of your solo music. I even completed a project in one of my graduate counseling classes recently on the benefits of music education in schools. I credited you and the save the music foundation as my inspirations behind the project ( I got an A!!). I was saddened to learn that your father passed away, my friends and I raised some money and dedicated it to Save the Music. You and your family were in my thoughts.

Thank you so much for what you do, it means the world to me. See you at Gillette Stadium and the Giants shows. I'm also going to see Memphis in September. Tell the rest of the boys hello from Massachusetts! Looking forward to the summer! Any chance Love Me Back to Life will make the set list? Great song.......

Take care and keep the faith,

A: Stephanie:

Thanks so much for your note.

I really am looking forward to Memphis and to spending time at North Shore when the tour wraps up in the Fall. I can't wait to hear what you think. It's totally different from my music with the band or even from my solo album.

Also, I really have to thank you for recognizing and supporting the work of VH1's Save The Music. It is a great organization with a really important mission --- to support music education and the funding of programs in schools.

See you on the road...

Q: Dear David:

I recently purchased your cd, although i have been a fan of the band for many years. Your music is so moving and inviting, it made me feel so much inside. i had the pleasure of meeting you once a long time ago in a parking lot after an Aerosmith concert in NYC. I was so thrilled i acted like a complete idiot! i will be seeing you once again in August when you guys will play Giants Stadium. I was writing because although i love to hear you play with the band, I would love to hear you playing on your own! Is there any chance of that happening? and if so, where would you play?

Once again, Thank You for giving me the pleasure of listening to your wonderful music!

A: Oh, so that was YOU in the parking lot!

I've been doing a song at each show, so I hope I'll be singing to you at a show over the summer.

See you on the road...

Q: Hi Dave:

This was sweet of you.

A: Krista:

Thanks for sharing it with me!

Q: Hi David:

I hope all is going well with the tour. It is hard to think you are so far away. I don't need a Lunar Eclipse to think of you. Looking at the moon, hearing piano music or keyboards.....everything reminds me of you. I hope that you will find time in the future to make another solo album. Your fans are in need of a new one.

Take care and may God keep you safe.

A fan forever

A: Susan:

Thanks for writing! The tour is going well. Europe has been amazing and I'm looking forward to coming home in the Summer. My musical, Memphis, opens outside of Boston in the Fall and then I hope to have time to work on another solo album.

See you on the road...

Q: Dear David:

I am not really sending this email to ask you anything but while I have got the opportunity I would like to say something...Firstly I would like to send you and all your family my love after the passing of your father. I lost my dad 10 months ago and nothing saddens me more than knowing you will all be feeling the terrible pain that I am still feeling now, so like I said, you all have my heart with you..secondly I would like to thank you for years of simply awesome talent, I have been a fan of yours and of course the rest of bon jovi for years now and for all those years you never fail to surprise me...from each album you have all done you have created masterpieces, each of you I would consider the best musicians god ever put on the earth, but the thing I like most about you all is that you still seem to enjoy it, so THANK YOU ALL from the bottom of my heart..oh and I will see you in Wolverhampton on the 24th of june...

A: Mandy:

Thanks so much for your wishes. It really means a lot to me to hear such heartfelt words from my friends on the road. It's been a rough time, but knowing that you are all out there every night is what has helped me get through.

See you on the road...

Q: Hello David:

I've been wanting to write to you about your CD. I bought it a few months ago and I love it!!!!! I’m a massage therapist so I've been using it with certain clients and when I do my chair massages. I also love "In These Arms"!! I REALLY think you should sing it while on tour with Bon Jovi!!! Let the audience see THAT part of you!!! Also I got the QVC DVD of Bounce. It's great!!!

Thanks for listening and please take care of yourself on tour.

Rita
Port Washington, Wisconsin

A: Dear Rita:

Thanks for writing. I'm glad you enjoy hearing this side of my musical world. I'm working on new material for the musical theatre. I hope you'll enjoy that too. My musical, MEMPHIS, based on the life of Dewey Phillips, the first white DJ in the south to play R&B music on the radio debuts this Fall at the North Shore Theatre in Massachusetts.

See you on the road...
